Cab Zone Bangalore: Terms and Conditions

  1.  Calendar Day Calculation:
    For outstation trips, one calendar day is counted as a full 24-hour period, from 00:00 Hrs to 23:59 Hrs. To accommodate travel and return to Bangalore, an additional buffer time of 4-5 hours is provided. Should the trip extend beyond this buffer, an extra day’s billing, calculated at 300 Kms rental, will be charged.
  2.  Driver Batta:
    When hiring a cab for the duration of 00:00 Hrs to 23:59 Hrs, the following driver battas apply:
    Day Driver Batta (6 AM to 10 PM): Applies for driving during the daytime hours.
    Early Morning Batta (00:00 Hrs to 06:00 Hrs): Applies for driving in the early morning hours.
    Late Night Batta (22:00 Hrs to 23:59 Hrs): Applies for driving during the late night hours.
    Note: The Night Driver Batta is only applicable if the driver operates between 10 PM and 6 AM.
  3.  Customer DOs and DON’Ts:
    No Smoking or Drinking: Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited inside the cabs.
    Behavioral Conduct: Loud music, rash driving, and rushing are not allowed to ensure safety and comfort for all passengers.
    Driver-Only Operation: Cabs are strictly driver-driven; self-driving is not permitted under any circumstances.
    Restricted Areas: Cabs are not allowed in areas that are legally or otherwise restricted.
  4. Give Respect – Take Respect:
    Customers are expected to treat drivers with respect. Drivers’ primary responsibility is to ensure safe transportation. Any assistance beyond driving is provided at the driver’s discretion and is not an obligation.
  5. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    Full Refund: A 100% refund is provided for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled trip.
    No Refund: No refund is provided for cancellations made within 12 hours prior to the trip or for no-shows at the scheduled travel date/time.
  6. Cab Breakdown:
    In the event of a cab breakdown, customers may temporarily close the trip. Replacement cabs will be provided based on availability. If a replacement is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated promptly.
  7. Booking Policy & Trip Closing Settlements:
    Advance Payment: Bookings are confirmed with an advance payment made through online transfer, cash, or bank transfer.
    Immediate Settlement: Payment settlements must be completed immediately after the trip concludes. No credit or deferred payments are allowed.
  8. ODO Meter & Hours Usage:
    Outstation Rentals: The odometer reading starts from the office-to-destination-to-office route.
    Local Rentals: For local rentals, the count begins and ends at the office with the timer starting at the customer’s first pickup point.
  9. Communication with Drivers:
    Customers should keep drivers informed about their travel plans. Following the drivers’ local insights and suggestions is encouraged for a smoother and more efficient journey.
  10. Inter-State Permits:
    Inter-State permits are required for travel into other states. Customers are responsible for obtaining and covering the cost of these permits and any associated waiting time.
